Pecan Pie Brownies

This rich and fudgy homemade brownie recipe is topped with a caramelized pecan pie filling for a luscious Thanksgiving dessert the whole family will love: Pecan Pie Brownies!
Pecan Pie Brownie Recipe
This fall, I’m all about the hybrid pie desserts:
- Pecan Pie Cheesecake
- Pecan Pie Cake Roll
- Dutch Apple Pie Cookies
- Blueberry Pie Ice Cream
- Snickerdoodle Cookie Pie
Why settle for one dessert when you can have the best parts of two?
And this pecan pie brownie recipe is definitely the best of both worlds. A rich, chocolatey brownie that just melts-in-your-mouth with all of the delicious caramelized pecan flavor of a pecan pie, including that crackly, sugary topping that true pecan pie lovers love cracking into with their forks.
The brownies soak up the pecan pie filling to make them truly the fudgiest brownies you have ever had. They almost still taste like brownie batter – and that’s always a good thing.
These ooey gooey brownies are not for people who like cake-like brownies. If that’s more your style, check out our Egg-Free Brownies made with coconut oil – they are chewy and cake-like.
Pecan pie brownies are the perfect indulgent dessert any time, but would be especially great alongside your traditional Thanksgiving desserts to appease the chocolate fans in the family. And because they are so rich and indulgent, you can get away with smaller serving sizes for these brownies.
For this recipe, I used Millican Pecan’s Pecan Halves. I didn’t realize what a difference there could be between pecan brands, but these are so incredibly fresh and flavorful – I now use them exclusively in all of my recipes that call for pecans. They also have delicious snack options like the Sweet and Spicy Pecans which are perfect for the holidays. My next order, I’m trying their Pecan Butter and the Caramel Pecan Coffee! (And by the way, this is not sponsored – I just really love them.)
While I make my brownies from scratch (it’s super easy and just 8 ingredients), you can substitute a boxed brownie mix if you’d like to save time. I really like the Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix when I opt for a boxed mix.
Can you freeze these pecan pie brownies? Yes, wrap the brownies well and then store in an airtight freezer container or ziptop freezer bags for up to three months. (This set of freezer containers is a crazy bargain.)
Can I use something instead of corn syrup in pecan pie brownies? Yes, you can use Golden Syrup or Blue Agave Syrup with great results. I haven’t tried this recipe with maple syrup, but that should also work well.
These brownies can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge. If storing at room temperature, they will last about 3 days – in the fridge, about a week.
