Adding Petals Addition Pages
Posted by admin on
When children are learning to add, they may start with adding physical objects they can touch. Then they move on to using semi concrete objects they can see like graphics or pictures. This set of Adding Petals Addition Pages features flowers that display some or all of their petals. Children will need to count each of the two flower’s petals and place how many petals each flower has numerically under the flowers. Once they have done that, they will add the two petal numbers together to find the sum.
Getting the Adding Petals Addition Pages
First, you will need to download the set.
Second, if you don’t have Acrobat Reader you will need to download it. The algorithm page is an Acrobat Reader PDF file.
Third, you must go to your download file and open the page. You may be asked if you want the file to open right after you download it. You won’t have to hunt for it in your download file if you are.
Exploring the Adding Petals Addition Pages
Even children who don’t need to have the visuals there to add benefit from them. They can count the petals after finding their answers to double check their work. Learning to go back and check your work is a great life skill.
Before starting one of the pages make sure to tell your children what you want them to do with the petals.
Building Background
You may want your children to read a book about flowers before exploring the petal pages. Below you will find some wonderful books about flowers.
