Sweater set + petite tennis bracelet // Edited Pieces drop 2
Posted by admin on
I’m so excited to share a small Edited Pieces droplet arriving this week! I’m still ironing out some technical things, but it’ll be up either this Wednesday or Thursday, and email subscribers will get a heads up one day prior. I wanted to share some sizing info in advance, so anyone interested has time to measure your wrist or get other fit help!
Also, we have a few small restocks of our reversible Horsebit Belt, Duo coat, Nora bracelet, and Constance necklace coming up! Email notifications will go out to those on the restock list in the order of signup. You can find my fit notes in this post and also videos on my Instagram story highlights. As a reminder, the Duo coat is an oversized, coatigan style fit and would likely be too big for someone who has a smaller frame than me. Also, the Horsebit belt runs a bit smaller than some customers expected, so please be sure to use a measuring tape around your waist (over the waistband on a pair of jeans or a dress) and reference our size chart online before ordering!
1. Naomi Bracelet
About the bracelet: Sterling silver with a rhodium plating to prevent tarnish, and high quality CZ stones.
So excited about this one! Slim but eye catching, and in a size suitable even for very narrow wrists. I went back and forth ENDLESSLY on the stone size and lengths, before picking a winner with 3mm wide stones (subtle but sparkly) and 3 lengths to ensure a good fit. I do want to emphasize that this is a slim, subtly sized little bracelet that may appear larger in photos or videos because my wrists are on the smaller side.
If there’s enough interest, we might also make this in gold and our Nora bracelet in silver!
Sizing: available in 6 inch, 6.5 inch, or 7 inch. Not adjustable in length.
Please note that the measurements are taken end-to-end and include a 0.25″ long clasp, so the actual circumference of the bracelet when clasped together is a little shorter. Also, you want to leave a little wiggle room to put the bracelet on and off. For fit reference, my wrist measures about 5.3 inches around and I wear the 6 inch Naomi bracelet with a little sliding room.
If you wear our 6″ Nora bracelet on the tightest setting, I’d recommend the 6 inch Naomi bracelet.
If you wear our 6″ Nora bracelet on the middle to loosest setting, I’d recommend the 6.5″ Naomi bracelet.
If you wear our 7″ Nora bracelet on the tightest setting, I’d recommend the 7″ Naomi bracelet.
2. Midi Skirt + Mockneck Sweater Set
About the set:
Two versatile neutral knit staples that can be worn together as a dress, or separately many different ways! In a soft-against-the-skin modal yarn blend with lots of stretch. Our knits maker is just as particular as I am and helped rigorously test this for stretch without stretching out, comfort, wash and wear.
I used to always be a pencil skirt gal, so this knit skirt (bump friendly!) has helped fill that void without sacrificing any comfort. When “wear testing” this set, I had it on for 12+ hours for everything from sitting on the playmat to squatting by the bathtub bathing the kids. The sturdy wide elastic waistband can be worn normally for a longer midi length, or folded down as pictured above for a slightly shorter knee length. Oftentimes knit skirts are a little too butt hugging for my liking, so this has a slightly more relaxed fit that gently skims curves. Pair it with a simple black turtleneck, cotton tee (pictured here), or drapey button up shirt for workwear. Swap in a silky cami for drinks, or try it with a knotted tee shirt and leather sneakers for on-the-go. The carefully placed slit shows a little leg but is still classic and office-friendly.
Our mockneck top has a slightly slouchy, drop shouldered fit, with a semi cropped length for pairing with high waisted jeans, bottoms and skirts without excess bulk or tucking needed at the waist. The mock neckline is wide and comfortable, with plenty of stretch so it slips easily over your head and is never too restrictive-feeling around the neck.
Both pieces are also machine washable for easy care! In general, I always recommend turning knits inside out and placing inside a mesh garment bag if possible before washing on cold. For drying, I do either air dry, lay flat to dry on a mesh rack, or machine dry on low. Please note that when knits are machine dried, they tend to shrink a bit but may stretch back out with wear.
Sizing: XXS to L, with a petite-friendly sleeve length and shorter torso length on the top.
True to size. For customers who are typically in between two sizes, you can size down as the pieces have a lot of stretch to them.
